This is the story of Dawn who started her own cleaning business about 12 years ago. Early on, when her business was just a few years old, she was offered a life changing opportunity. It was an offer that was almost too good to be true. As with all things that seem to be too good to be true, there is usually a catch.
Dawn would clean houses from time to time but mostly does summer rental properties at the shore. That’s where the big money is to be made. She has a seasonal spot at one of the campgrounds and stays there throughout the summer usually alone.
She grew up in the city and always wanted to get out. Her kids were all grown and since then her and her husband haven’t been getting along with each other. Dawn has always thought about leaving him but was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to survive on her own financially and lately her business was struggling. She had been trying to get more properties to clean and get extra help but she couldn’t afford to pay what some of the other cleaners pay their employees.
One day she got a new property to clean and the property owner requested her personally to clean it, not one of her employees.
The following week Dawn arrived at the rental property at around 9 am. It was the middle of the week so she didn’t have to worry about tenants until the weekend. It was a pretty good size place so she figured she would be there much of the morning depending on whether it needed a deep cleaning or not. She goes to the lock box to retrieve the key. When Dawn got to the door she noticed it wasn’t locked. She didn’t think too much of it because it happens from time to time. She steps inside shutting the door behind her. Straight ahead was a stairway that went to the second floor. Straight back to the left of the stairwell was the kitchen. She walked back to the kitchen and sat her cleaning basket on a chair. Just by a quick glance she didn’t think she would be there all day. She goes to the sink to fill a bucket up with water then she hears a voice that startles her.
“Hi, you must be Dawn.” the woman says.
Dawn spins around quickly as her heart is beating a mile a minute.
“Shit, you scared the hell out of me!” Dawn yells.
“Oh, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” the woman says.
“Yes, i’m Dawn, and who are you and what are you doing here?!” Dawn asks as she reaches back and shuts the water off.
“My name is Jacqueline and this is one of my properties, I hired you.” Jacqueline says as she reaches out and shakes Dawns hand.
Now Dawn has heard Jacquelines name before as she owns many of the properties in the area. “It’s a pleasure to meet you. I have heard very good things about you and that’s why I requested you personally.” Jacqueline said.

There was a bit of awkward silence for a moment as both stared at each other. Dawn noticed that Jacqueline was wearing black sweat pants and a yellow hooded sweat shirt. She was wearing makeup, a little much for what she was wearing just to pop in at the property. She then thought maybe she was heading to the gym or just out for a walk in the area.
Finally Dawn asks, “Can I help you with anything before I get to work?”
“Well Dawn, perhaps the question is, can I help you?” Jacqueline says.
“Oh? How is that?” Dawn asks very curiously.
“Well, as i’m sure you know, I own quite a few properties in the area, more than you could guess. You have cleaned a few of them before and I know you do a fantastic job. I have heard nothing but good things about you and your work so I really wanted to meet you in person.” Jacqueline said.
“Thank you so much, you don’t know how much I appreciate your business and the word of mouth really helps out.” Dawn said.
“So as I was saying, I think I can help you.. How would you like more properties to clean?” Jacqueline asks.
“That would be great! Exactly how many?” Dawn asks.
“As many as you can handle.” Jacqueline says.
Dawn was thrilled but she knew she was struggling to get help with the work she has now and wasn’t sure how she would be able to do more.
“Here, have a seat.” Jacqueline says as she pulls out a chair for her.
Dawn sits down at the kitchen table and Jacqueline sits next to her.
“Do you have your cell phone?” Jacqueline asks.
“Of course, who doesn’t.” Dawn says laughing.
“Can I see it?” Jacqueline asks.
Dawn gives Jacqueline her phone and Jacqueline puts it in her pocket.
“What are you doing!?” Dawn asks confused.
“I have a proposition for you. I will give you as much work as you can handle and
make you the only one I use for ALL of my properties. I can even convince many of the other property owners to use you exclusively but I want something in return.” Jacqueline says.
“Wow that would be amazing, but what could I possibly have that you would want??” Dawn asks.
“You Dawn, I want you.” Jacqueline says.
“What do you mean me?” Dawn asked in a confused tone.
“Exactly what I said. I want you.” Jacqueline says.
Dawn jumps up from the chair.
“What like sleep with me or something??” Dawn asks angrily as she is backing out of the room.
“We just met not even 5 minutes ago, you don’t even know me, I can’t believe you just asked me that!! Give me my phone back, we’re done here!” Dawn yells.
“Just wait, wait, I didn’t say that, not that it hasn’t crossed my mind. I just want 2 hours of your time. Just hear me out. Please sit back down.” Jacqueline says.
“I’m fine right here.” Dawn says.
“Fine. Yes this is the first time we have met formerly, but I know who you are. I do my research before I hire someone. Your work is a reflection on me when you are cleaning one of MY properties. I have seen you many times before and I also know your business is struggling right now.” Jacqueline says.
Jacqueline then pulls an envelope out of the front pocket of her sweat shirt and puts it in front of her.
“There is $5,000 cash in this envelope.” Jacqueline says as she fans out the money on the table.
“It would be yours, all yours, plus the cleaning jobs. All I ask for is 2 hours with you.” Jacqueline says.
Dawn is still angry but seeing the money on the table gets her attention she knows she could use it along with the extra cleaning jobs.
“Please Sit down Dawn, I don’t want to force you into anything you don’t want to do.” Jacqueline says.
Dawn slowly sits down but at the other end of the table.
“So what would we do in this 2 hours? Lunch, go shopping or something?” Dawn asks.
“Well not quite, I have something in mind and we can just see what it leads to.” Jacqueline says.
“So sex then, that’s where this is going, you want to fuck me.” Dawn says with anger in her voice.
“I never said that, I have something in mind but i’m not going to say just yet. I’m sure this was the last thing you expected today and I know it’s a lot to hit you with but i’m prepared to sweeten the proposal a bit if you want to hear.” Jacqueline says.
“Go on.” Dawn says.
“If you decide in the next 25 minutes, I will double the cash. That’s $10,000 for 2 hours of your time.” Jacqueline says.
Dawns’ jaw almost hits the table as she leans forward putting her head in her hands not knowing what to say.
“$10,000! Are you serious? $10,000? Shit.” Dawn yells.
Now for some, $10,000 isn’t a life changing amount of money, but for Dawn this and becoming Jacquelines exclusive cleaner is huge. She is very curious what Jacqueline has in mind for her. Dawn has never been with or has ever thought of being with another woman and she thinks that this is where this is going even though Jacqueline hasn’t said it. Everything has her mind racing as she was thinking of what she could do with all that Jacqueline was offering her for only 2 hours. The money, combined with the properties, could let her hire more help and maybe even get out on her own and leave the city for good.
“Yes, $10,000 Dawn. This is a one time offer with an expiration. I’m going to go upstairs, if you are interested, there is a bed room at the end of the hall before the stairs. There is a box sitting on the bed with instructions. Follow the them completely.” Jacqueline says.
“So what’s in the box?” Dawn asks.
“Let me finish. If you decide you don’t want to do this, come upstairs with the box and instructions and I will give you your phone and pay you for the days work and you can be on your way. The time will start as soon as I leave the room. The decision yours.” Jacqueline says.
“Seriously? That’s all you’re going to tell me? I don’t even know what it is im deciding on!!” Dawn exclaims.
Jacqueline stands up and smiles at Dawn.
“I guess there is only one way for you to find out then isn’t there?” Jacqueline says.
Jacqueline makes her way upstairs as Dawn sits at the table not sure what to do next. She looks at the clock and gets up from the table. She starts to head to the front door and opens it then pauses. She can’t stop thinking of how this will help her business grow plus, Jacqueline has her phone. Dawn closes the door and locks it.
“Fuck!!” Dawn yells.
Dawn leans with her back on the front door crossing her arms and bangs the back of her head against it a couple times debating on what to do. She looks over at the bedroom door and heads to it. She opens the door and sees the bed with the box and note sitting on it. She sits next to the box and picks up the note trying to decide whether to open it or not. She then stands up and paces back and forth. Finally she opens the note and reads it.
“Please put on everything in this box. I’m pretty confident everything will fit you. Once you have done so, bring the box along with this note upstairs, 2nd room on your right. P.S. no underwear.” the note says.
“Seriously..” Dawn says aloud as she rolls her eyes.
She takes the lid off the box and pulls out its contents. First is a silky white robe that she puts up to her body and sees that it goes down just to her knees. She sets it aside then pulls out a high cut dark blue spandex leotard. Finally is a small box of peavey pantyhose light beige in color size C.
“What the hell does she have planned?” Dawn asks herself.
Dawn opens the box of pantyhose and and puts them on the bed. Dawn is really confused and wondering if she should go through with this especially after seeing the contents of the box. Dawn sees she is running out of time and makes her decision.
